Dr. Ingrid Richards Adams

Dr. Adams is Associate Professor of Medical Dietetics in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Medicine and Extension State Specialist in Food, Health and Human Behavior. She is a Discovery Themes Initiative hire in Health and Wellness under the Initiative for Food and Agricultural Transformation (InFACT). She obtained her BS and MS from The Ohio State University and her Ph.D. from Iowa State University.

Her scholarship centers on Dissemination and Implementation research. She develops evidence-based obesity and chronic disease prevention programs suitable for community outreach, information dissemination, and public health education; and tailors these programs so that they are culturally appropriate to minorities and other audiences. She enjoys traveling and tennis.
