Dr. Michael Prats

Dr. Michael Prats is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He received his BS in Neuroscience and Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and his medical doctorate from the Ohio State College of Medicine. He performed his residency training in emergency medicine at Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before returning back to Ohio State for an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship. He currently serves as the Assistant Director of Ultrasound and the Director of Ultrasound Research within the Division of Emergency Ultrasound. His academic interests include ultrasound education and utilizing social media for medical education. He founded and co-hosts the Ultrasound G.E.L. podcast which discusses research articles in the field of bedside ultrasound. He enjoys living in Worthington with his beautiful wife and children.
