Dr. James B. Odei

Dr. James B. Odei received his Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2001, his Master’s of Science (2007) and Ph.D. (2014) degrees in Statistics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Utah State University, respectively. Dr. Odei joined The Ohio State University (OSU) faculty as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2014. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Public Health at OSU’s College of Public Health in the Division of Biostatistics. James’ research focuses on spatial, temporal, spatio-temporal modeling using Bayesian methods and hierarchical modeling and application to ecology and health. Some of his research interests include infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS, TB, etc.), diabetes, and stroke.
