Dr. Irene Hatsu, Human Nutrition
Dr. Irene Hatsu
Dr. Irene Hatsu is originally from Ghana and is an Assistant Professor of Human Nutrition at the Ohio State University. She also serves as a Food Security State Specialist for Ohio State Extension. Prior to this appointment, she was in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at Florida International University, from where she holds a PhD. She obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Georgia. Irene’s academic and research interests include understanding the nexus between nutrition and mental health as well as understanding and developing innovative and effective interventions to improve the health (especially mental health) consequences of food and nutrition security among vulnerable and underserved populations.
